A WEDDING VENUE IN THE ALLEGHENIES · WEST AUGUSTA, VIRGINIA
Marry on the hill. Celebrate by the water.
One wedding a weekend on a thousand private acres — a ceremony site on Star Hill, a waterside pavilion for the reception, and three log homes for the people you want close by.
SCOTTLAND FARM
The whole farm is yours for the weekend.
We host one wedding at a time. Your guests are the only people on the property: vows on the hill, dinner and dancing at the pavilion, and a walk between the two instead of a drive. The rest of the year the farm is a quiet place to stay — fields, ponds, mature hardwoods and long views to the ridge.
Star Hill
A timber platform on the ridge, chairs for every guest, and the ponds, the pastures and the far mountains laid out behind you. Golf carts run anyone up who would rather ride.
The waterside pavilion
Built for events and nothing else: a catering kitchen, a walk-in cooler big enough for the cake, a bar on the deck, string lights overhead and room to bring everyone under roof if the sky turns.
Weddings
Say your vows on Star Hill overlooking the ponds and pastures, then walk back down to a pavilion with a catering kitchen, a waterside bar and room to put every guest under roof if the weather turns.
Stay
Two log homes that sleep seven apiece and a one-room cabin for four. No cell service, no internet, no cable — which is rather the point. Trails, ponds and a thousand acres start at the porch step.

ON THE PROPERTY
Ponds full of bass, trails for every pace
Catch and release fishing on artificial lures only — largemouth bass, crappie, sun perch and catfish. Field-edge strolls and back-country trails. Cornhole, horseshoes and croquet for the afternoons in between.
Come and walk it.
Photographs only get you so far. If you are seriously considering a date, arrange a visit — walk up Star Hill, stand in the pavilion and see the view for yourself. Every booking is handled here on the farm, by the people who run it.
